Senior Fitness Assessments
Have you ever wondered where your strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular stamina levels are supposed to be for someone your age? If so, contact staff to set up your personal Senior Fitness Assessment. Strong Bones Strength Training Class

Tokay Senior Fitness Center Birthday Club
The Birthday Club has been established to recognize and celebrate member’s birthdays. Membership to the organization must be renewed annually. Birthday Club celebrations are held quarterly. Birthday celebrants will receive a birthday gift which has been purchased with funds paid by the club members. All participants are highly encouraged to bring a food item for the event. Dues are $15 annually, and must be paid at least 30 days prior to the quarterly luncheon. To register, please contact center staff. Please note the noon start time for the luncheons.

Senior Advocacy Effort
FCPR Senior Programs will be collecting In-Kind Donations for the Fayetteville Animal Protection Society -Fayetteville's only no-kill animal shelter. During January/February, please bring your donations to one of the facilities during normal business hours. Items include:
-Food items: peanut butter, Purina Puppy Food (Dry), Purina/Pedigree Dog Food (Dry), small dog/cat treats-not from China
-Cleaning supplies: Puppy Pads, Clorox Bleach, Liquid Laundry Detergent, Hand Sanitizer, Dawn Dish Soap, Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Baking Soda, Blankets, Used Towels, 13-Gallon Trash Bags
-Misc.: Nylon Collars/Leashes, Potty Pick-Up Bags, Rawhide Chews-Not from China
FCPR Senior Programs/Tokay Rocker-Thon
Join us for 3 continuous hours of aerobic dancing, with refreshments/door prizes provided by our sponsoring agencies. Suggested donation of $10, with all proceeds supporting the Cumberland County Coordinating Council on Older Adults, for operation of their new Meals On Wheels delivery vehicle. Event held at Smith Recreation Center, 1520 Slater Ave. To date, the Rocker-Thon has now raised over $13,563.59 for local, non-profit agencies.

Identity Theft Prevention Workshops
Join Dr. Kris Falcon, of TPM Home Health Agency and TPM Addiction/Behavioral Counseling Services, as she facilitates a two-part seminar on Identity Theft/Prevention. Topics include: four types of identity theft, credit reports, and steps to take in the event your identify is stolen. All seminars to be held in Tokay Senior Fitness Center Multi-Purpose Room from 10-11 am. Please call Tokay, at 910-433-1414 to register and ensure adequate seating. Note: Participants are encouraged, but not required, to attend both seminars.

Balance and Falls Prevention Seminar
Representatives from Breakthrough Physical Therapy will be present to assess your balance, posture, and fall risk. A physical therapist will also be on site to answer any questions. Please call Tokay, at (910) 433-1414, to ensure adequate seating. Seminar held at Tokay Fitness Center.

Upper Body Range of Motion/Motor Screenings
Occupational Therapy students from Methodist University will be on-site to complete upper-body mobility screenings, to include upper extremity range of motion, upper-body muscle testing, and grip strength testing.
