CENTER PROGRAMS

Kiwanis Fitness Room

Treadmills, stationary bikes and elliptical machines are available so you can shed those pounds, work on cardio and tone up the body.  These machines have multiple features that will help track progress. Participants must fill out a form and attend a brief equipment orientation on your first visit.

Walking Track

Enjoy a walk or run around our paved outdoor track from day to dusk. Four laps around the track equals one mile, so come on out and give it a try!

Youth Open Gym

Come and work on your basketball skills and play against others your age. A completed permission form signed by parent/guardian must be on file to play basketball. A current ID is required and players must sign in to play.  
17-under yrs; Mon.-Thurs.; 3:30-5:30 pm; Free

Family Gym Time

Enjoy some gym time as a family. This time has been designated to give families time together. A completed permission form must be signed by parent/guardian must be on file to play basketball. Child/children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Adult Open Gym

Time to get in shape…sweat those pounds off. Players must complete a registration form and provide a picture ID.

Senior Adult Open Gym

You are never too old to come out and get your heart rate up.

Coaches Needed

Baseball, Softball, Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Cheerleading, and Basketball coaches are needed at Kiwanis Recreation Center for various sports seasons. For more information or to volunteer, stop by the recreation center anytime.

Little Kickers Soccer

Get your preschool aged child involved in this beginner soccer program designed just for the 3 and 4 year olds. Your child will learn the basic rules as well as develop their motor skills and learn about teamwork. Teams will practice and play in non-competitive games against other teams. Parents are strongly encouraged to assist and play an active role in their child’s development. Registration runs June 1-Aug. 1; proof of age; three proofs of residency required.
3-4 yrs; Practice and game times are TBD; $25

Little Ballers Basketball

Get your preschool aged child involved in this beginner basketball program designed just for the 3 and 4 year olds. Your child will learn the basic rules as well as develop their motor skills and learn about teamwork.  Participants will participate in skill based clinics focusing on dribbling, shooting, and passing. Parents are strongly encouraged to assist and play an active role in their child’s development. Registration runs Oct.1-Dec. 1; proof of age; three proofs of residency required.

Little Hitters

Get your preschool aged child involved in this beginner baseball program designed just for the 3 and 4 year olds. Tae Kwon Do

Would you like to learn the fine art of self-defense? Train the body as well as the mind to be disciplined and able to perform at the highest levels.

N2IT Youth Martial Arts

Try our unique martial arts program with concentration in better school grades, respect, discipline, self-control, self-esteem, confidence, responsibility, stranger danger, bullying, and safety awareness.

Kung Fu

Learn a Chinese art of self-defense that emphasizes exercise and spiritual growth, as well as self-defense.

Tai Chi

Learn an ancient Chinese form of exercise that uses slow and very controlled movements.

Young Breaker Break Dancing Class

Young Breaker is an introductory class for school-aged youth. This jam-packed class introduces the basic fundamentals breaking techniques such as top rock, freezes, and footwork. Students also learn the history and terminology.

Pop and Lock Hip Hop Dance

Come try the new style of dance that is often mistaken for break dancing. There are many comical and serious moves that you develop and make your own. Come and strut your stuff.

Homeowners meet to discuss concerns in the Cambridge neighborhood.

Fayetteville Brain Injury Support Group

Come join us as we work to address the needs of survivors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals for all types of brain injury. We will also look at ways of helping to prevent these type injuries.

Society of Creative Anachronism

The SCA is a medieval/renaissance re-enactment organization. We seek to learn about the beauty, chivalry, and knowledge of our past and to share with others the wonders of medieval Europe.

Happiness is You

Come join the program founded by the late Sid Gautam, founder and director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Methodist University, as it spreads the 'gospel' of peace, love and pursuit of financial, mental and physical happiness. There will be yoga lessons, as well as presentations from experts in various fields relating to health.  Call for more information.

The Family Caregiver Education and Support Group provides a supportive and educational environment to enhance the caregiver and family understanding of Alzheimer’s and Dementia or related cognitive impairments.

Trick or Treat

Come by in your costume and get some candy. Take a picture and we will be giving awards for some of the best costumes. Come enjoy some popcorn as you go off into the night.

Let's Help

We will be collecting non-perishable items to be given to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeast North Carolina. We will be accepting donations from Nov. 1-20 during our normal operating hours.

Big Man Clinic

Come learn some of the basic skills necessary to be a better interior basketball player.  Interior moves, passing drills, rebounding, attitude and other skills will be worked on. Registration runs Oct. 1-Dec. 1.

Hoop Shoot

Elks Lodge of Fayetteville will sponsor a free throw contest for ages 9-14. Winner will advance to the regional finals. If you think you have what it takes come and try your free throw shooting skills against others your age.
