Cape Fear Table Tennis Club (CFTTC)

The Massey Hill Recreation Center and the Cape Fear Table Tennis Club have collaborated to provide free table tennis to the public. Come enjoy a free game of table tennis. Paddles and balls will be available.

Open Gym

Come work on your basketball skills while improving your health along with others your age at the Massey Hill Classical School’s gym. Participants must have a completed Parent Permission form on file prior to participating. Program times are subject to change, due to seasonal and scheduled programs.

Fitness Room

No more excuses! Fitness equipment is available during all operation hours. Schedule your time to get a good workout and get your body into shape. Ages 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must complete a “Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire. Open during facility operational hours.

 FCPR has partnered with Cumberland County Schools to provide computer capability to students who currently attend Cumberland county schools, and the general public. Individuals who wish to utilize the Chromebooks must have a completed “Chromebook Activity” registration form on file. Chromebooks can only be used within the facility for a limited time period.

Life Skills at the Hill

Life skills training designed to assist children and teens in developing skills necessary to succeed at school, home, and prepare for adulthood.

Boccia is a precision ball sport. It was originally designed to be played by people with cerebral palsy, but now includes athletes with other disabilities affecting motor skills. Come and learn the basics and enjoy the competition. Equipment provided.

Aqua Excursion

Parents, if you deserve a dinner or shopping night alone then sign your child up for this new Aqua Excursion. We will entertain your kids with our brand new splash pad, playground, games, and pizza. Must be pre-registered by June 1 and Aug. 15
7-12 yrs; Fri., June 8 and Fri., Aug. 31; 6-9 pm; $5 

2018 Toddler Triathlon

Don’t miss out on this new event for toddlers. We will offer a three part race for the participants. The course will consist of the splash pad, biking, and running. All participants will receive a medal. Practice dates and times will be provided upon registration. Participants must be 3 or 4 years old on the day of the event.
