Fayetteville-Cumberland Youth Council (FCYC)
Mission
The Fayetteville Cumberland Youth Council’s mission is to serve as a voice for the youth in a youth-led organization, focusing on the betterment and promotion of our community. FCYC serves as a cross-generational link and participates in service projects and social events to promote character building and leadership development.
FCYC Purpose & Goals
- To be the voice of youth in the community and serve as a line of communication between youth and adults of the area.
- To provide an organization in which youth can organize and supervise programs for the benefit of area youth and the community.
- To provide an opportunity for youth to share in local government matters and to learn to become responsible citizens.
- To encourage city and county planning agencies to invite youth to serve on city and county committees and contribute to community planning.
