College Lakes Fitness Center

Adults can now exercise using some of the latest fitness technology! The Fitness Room is equipped treadmills, elliptical machines and stationary bikes to increase cardiovascular fitness. A simple questionnaire must be completed on the first visit and renewed annually.

Morning Zumba Fitness

Zumba is a Latin style aerobics class that will help you to get into shape and burn calories. Ditch the workout and join the party! Join the millions of people that have decided that having fun and working out are not mutually exclusive. Get with the group who’d rather have a blast!

After Hour Hoops

Are you looking for something to do on a Saturday night? College Lakes Rec Center will be opening the gym for teenagers to come and run pickup games. Come out and see how long you can hold down the court! Each participant must have a guardian fill out a registration form.

Senior Line Dance

Want to stay fit and trim? If the answer is yes, then you will want to join this group. You will meet in a group setting and learn strategies that will help you in losing that extra, unwanted weight.

We all have past failures, disappointments and disapprovals. This program is designed with you in mind, because your brokenness does not define who you are. Anazópureó, Stir up the gift! Fireseeds is a nonprofit organization that is providing Cumberland County individuals with disabilities the opportunity to transform talents into a careers.  Fireseeds is infused with therapeutic activities that motivate and revive unused talents. Every Friday Fireseeds will offer therapeutic entertainment followed by constructive activities that nurture and produce talents that lead to purpose and purpose that leads to a mission.

Blue Cardinal Youth Conflict Resolution Program (Y.C.R.P)

Blue Cardinal has developed a 4-quarter strategic program designed to teach, inspire, and develop future professional leaders. Blue Cardinals provides subject matter experts to teach youth males ages 10-16 and 17-19, Conflict Resolution, Decision Making Concepts, Effective Communications, ELA and Spanish Tutoring, Music Awareness, Financial Literacy, Anti-Drug Awareness, Autism Bridging and Certification Ceremony and so much more. Cape Fear Table Tennis Club (CFTTC)

The College Lakes Recreation Center and the Cape Fear Table Tennis Club have collaborated to provide table tennis to the public. Come enjoy a game of table tennis.

N2IT Youth Martial Arts

Try our unique martial arts program with concentration in better school grades, respect, discipline, self-control, self-esteem, confidence, responsibility, stranger danger, bullying, and safety awareness. Classes begin February 5th.

Red Line Elite Cheerleading

Red Line Elite is a brand new All-Star Stomp N' Shake (SNS) cheerleading team. Our team participates in local events around the community as well as SNS competitions. Red Line Elite is a family oriented team that focuses on community involvement and presence.

Baseball, Softball, Indoor Soccer, Summer Basketball, Summer Volleyball, Fall Baseball, Football, Soccer, Cheerleading and Volleyball coaches are needed at College Lakes Recreation Center. For information or to volunteer, stop by or call the recreation center.


Baseball/Softball Clinic

Learn the fundamentals of baseball and softball from experienced players and coaches.  Participants will learn baseball and softball skills through various drills and exercises.

Spring Fling

Join us and Pine Forest Recreation center for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. There will be eggs filled with goodies, bounce houses, the Easter bunny and more. There will be different times for different age groups. This event will take place at the College Lakes Park. Please have children bring their own baskets.

Community Yard Sale

Have some items that are in good condition that you would love to give away? Bring your items that are in good condition to College Lakes Recreation Center for our spring yard sale. You keep all proceeds from the sale. All you have to do is register for a table. Pre-registration is required.
