The G.B. Myers Neighborhood Association
Citizens within the G.B Myers Community meet to discuss and address community concerns. These meetings assist in developing and implementing an action plan. We welcome and will appreciate the attendance of all citizens in close proximity to Geraldine Myers Recreation Center. All ideas to address community concerns will be respected and considered at these meetings.

The Sassy Women of Distinction
As one of Fayetteville’s chapters of the Red Hat Society, these ladies encourage and endear friendships in women. This group of ladies fosters fun, health and social interaction among women in various seasons of their lives. Members 50 and over wear red hats and purple attire to all social gatherings and outings. Any women under the age of 50 may also become a member, but she wears a pink hat and lavender attire to the Society's events until reaching her 50th birthday.

Hope Hillside Playground Heritage Association
The purpose of the association is to preserve the legacy of the Hope/Hillside Playground through continued financial support for educational event, and encourage community involvement and sponsorship of activities, while promoting social interaction and community development.

Adult Computer Class
Learn all you want to know about computers. Our patient instructor will work with you to increase your computer skills. Instruction is available in internet access, Microsoft Word, Power Point and more.

Are you looking for a safe and quiet place to study or work on the computer. Myers recreation center’s computer lab has desktop computers with internet access, and are free to the public. Youth under 12 yrs must be accompanied by an adult.

FCPR has partnered with Cumberland County Schools to provide computer capability to students who currently attend Cumberland county schools, and the general public. Individuals who wish to utilize the Chromebooks must have a completed “Chromebook Activity” registration form on file. Chromebooks can only be used within the facility for a limited time period.

Senior Pickle Ball
Seniors interested in staying active, you have to try Pickle ball! There’s and energetic group of seniors at Myers, who will teach beginners and challenge others in this fun competitive mixture of Ping Pong, Tennis and Badminton.

Dazzling Dolls Ballet/Jazz
This combination class will teach beginners ballet and jazz technique. Dancers will also have an opportunity to perform in a Christmas and End of the year recital.

2018 May Fun Fest
Get your toddler moving at our annual May Day Fun Fest. Toddlers will have a blast while being exposed to multiple fitness activities, and the “Moving Grooving Zumba Work out” at the end. Program offers individual and team events to win medals and trophies. Daycares & Preschool programs are invited. Pre-registration is required.

2018 Toddler Olympics
If you have a tiny energetic, future athlete, this event is what you’re looking for. Register your toddler for the 2018 Toddler Olympics. Athletes will compete in age appropriate events to earn the gold, silver or bronze medal. All participants will receive a medal for participation. Participants must be 3 or 4 years old on or before the day of the event. Practice will be held prior to the event day, to prepare participants for the big day. Practice dates and time will be provided upon registration.

Parents looking to enjoy a quiet dinner or shopping alone, you can sign your child up to enjoy the new Aqua Excursion at Myer Recreation center!
