The G.B. Myers Neighborhood Association
Citizens within the G.B Myers Community meet to discuss and address community concerns. These meetings assist in developing and implementing an action plan. We welcome and will appreciate the attendance of all citizens in close proximity to Geraldine Myers Recreation Center. All ideas to address community concerns will be respected and considered at these meetings.

The Sassy Women of Distinction
As one of Fayetteville’s chapters of the Red Hat Society, these ladies encourage and endear friendships in women. This group of ladies fosters fun, health and social interaction among women in various seasons of their lives. Members 50 and over wear red hats and purple attire to all social gatherings and outings. Any women under the age of 50 may also become a member, but she wears a pink hat and lavender attire to the Society's events until reaching her 50th birthday.

Adult Computer Class
Learn all you want to know about computers. Our patient instructor will work with you to increase your computer skills. Instruction is available in internet access, Microsoft Word, Power Point and more.

Are you looking for a safe and quiet place to study or work on the computer. Myers recreation center’s computer lab has desktop computers with internet access, and are free to the public. Youth under 12 yrs must be accompanied by an adult.

FCPR has partnered with Cumberland County Schools to provide computer capability to students who currently attend Cumberland county schools, and the general public. Individuals who wish to utilize the Chromebooks must have a completed “Chromebook Activity” registration form on file. Chromebooks can only be used within the facility for a limited time period.

Individuals looking for some great exercise for the mind and body, Pickle ball is the game to try. This sport combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong using a paddle and plastic ball with holes. Beginners who just want to learn something new, or seasonal players craving competitive play, this is the place. Come give it a try! Appropriate for ages 13+;

2019 Top Fit Toddler
Parents! Can your toddler pass the challenge? If you have that toddler who enjoys running, climbing and being physically challenged, why not register him/her to compete to be FCPR’s 2019 Top Fit Toddler. 3-4 year olds will compete in a variety of age appropriate physical test of speed and “toddler” strength, to be show off their skills. Age cut off Aug. 31, 2019.
