Little Hitters

Want to get your pre-school child involved in sports? This is a spring beginner T-Ball program for 3 & 4 year old. Your child will learn the basic rules as well as develop their motor skills and learn about teamwork. Each child will be place on a team. Teams will practice and play in non-competitive games against other teams. Parents are strongly encouraged to assist and play taking an active role in their child's development; Registration runs Jan 2- March 2; proof of age; three proofs of residency.                                                                                               
3-4 yrs; Practice and game times are TBD; $20 

Aqua Zumba

This Aqua Zumba class is designed especially for both beginners as well as advanced students! Aqua Zumba is a fun, low impact work-out that achieves great results! Enjoy the water, while staying cool and in fit for the summer.
16+; Tues. and  Fri.; June 5-Aug.; 8:30-9:30 am; $40/month or $5/class

Knit or Crochet

Conducting knitting or crocheting group is an extremely meaningful senior activity idea; and these groups can have a special purpose. Many groups use the majority of their time creating special shawls or blankets. Sometimes the group know who they are making it for, the purpose, and sometimes they do not.

Share Your Collections

People may have quite interesting collections: such as baseball and football cards, coins, old classic model cars, J.I. Joe, hats, etc. And would love to tell about them! Come together in an activity room at the recreation center and bring food, snacks & coffee and meet new people.

Collages

You're probably aware that scrap booking is one of the most popular senior activities today. Scrap booking can also be a type of collage. Collage can be an art in itself and using a design template can create a really striking layout. But there are many other types of fun collages besides scrap booking that you can learn about and get new ideas. Create them on thick poster board, small art canvases and Masonite board. These can make a beautiful gift or an art piece for yourself.

Extreme Couponing

If you've ever seen the show, you know there's big bucks to be saved in the couponing game. I will say...it does take time, patience, and creating skill level. You can start saving money on groceries and other necessities by strategically collecting coupons. Don't just recycle the coupon mailers that come through each week-give them a scan and being making a habit of cutting out coupons you can use for your weekly shopping needs.

Eggs-Travaganza

Come on out for an egg-tastic time with your friends at Cliffdale, E.E. Miller, Lake Rim and Westover Recreation Centers. There will be games, food vendors, a bounce house, balloon animals, crafts, music and more! Don’t
forget to bring your basket for the egg hunt. This event will be hosted at Cliffdale Recreation Center and is
absolutely free!

Westover Community Swim Lesson Event (World's Largest Swimming Lesson)

Did you know that more than half of all all Americans (54 percent) either can't swim or don't have all of the basic swimming skills? Drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury-related death for children ages 1-14. It can and should be prevented. Teaching children to swim is a vital skill for drowning prevention, but there are other equally important ways to stay safe in and around the water.
