Little Kickers

Want to get your pre-school child involved in sports? Soccer program for 3 & 4 year old. Your child will learn the basic rules as well as develop their motor skills and learn about teamwork. Each child will be place on a team. Teams will practice and play in non-competitive games against other teams. Parents are strongly encouraged to assist and play taking an active role in their child's development; Registration runs Jun 1- Aug 1; proof of age; three proofs of residency.                                                                                               
3-4 yrs; Practice and game times are TBD; $25 

Pleasant Surprise Lil Chefs

Are your children interested in helping in the kitchen? If so, then they should check out our Pleasant Surprise Lil Chefs cooking class. In this class they will learn how to cook different types of food and desserts. Classes begin Monday, September 16.6-12 yrs; 6-7 pm; $25/month $5/class

Knit or Crochet

Conducting knitting or crocheting group is an extremely meaningful senior activity idea; and these groups can have a special purpose. Many groups use the majority of their time creating special shawls or blankets. Sometimes the group know who they are making it for, the purpose, and sometimes they do not.

Share Your Collections

People may have quite interesting collections: such as baseball and football cards, coins, old classic model cars, J.I. Joe, hats, etc. And would love to tell about them! Come together in an activity room at the recreation center and bring food, snacks & coffee and meet new people.

Extreme Couponing

If you've ever seen the show, you know there's big bucks to be saved in the couponing game. I will say...it does take time, patience, and creating skill level. You can start saving money on groceries and other necessities by strategically collecting coupons. Don't just recycle the coupon mailers that come through each week-give them a scan and being making a habit of cutting out coupons you can use for your weekly shopping needs.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Ballin 4 Alzheimer’s Basketball Tournament plus Car and Bike Show

Partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association we are calling all basketball players and their teams on September 7. Come and register your team for the Ballin 4 Alzheimer’s Basketball Tournament Car plus Bike Show. We want to see who will take the crown of being named King/Queen of the court while looking at the coolest car and bikes around town. Call the center for more details. Pre-registration is required. Registration fees are as follows: $10 for bikes, $20 for cars and $150 per basketball team.
