Bricks 4 Kidz

Get ready to power up your engineering and architect skills with Bricks 4 Kidz. Learn how to apply classroom learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) through engineer-designed LEGO motorized models. Our 90 minute weekly sessions are filled with fun and imaginative hands-on learning for elementary, middle and high school students.

Open Gym-Teens

The gym is open nightly for basketball with the exception of recreation sponsored athletic programs. Participants should bring a school or picture ID and a completed open play form must be signed by a parent in front of Staff.
13-17 yrs; Schedule varies according to availability, call center for current times.

Open Gym-Family Night

The gym is open nightly for basketball with the exception of recreation sponsored athletic programs. Family night is designed to give families time to play together. An adult must accompany child/children and bring a picture ID.

Adult Open Gym

The Gym will be open for adults on Sunday with the exception of recreation sponsored athletic programs. Open Gym form must be filled out and ID required.

Back 2 Basics

Are you tired of being sick and tired? Do you want to regain your health and vitality? If you answered yes, then the Back 2 Basics Wellness Training Course if for you. This course is six weeks long and will give you an insight into how the body functions and how to give the body what it needs to repair itself. It will help you decide, plan and manage health goals through vision boards, journaling and live food presentations. This course will also show you how to become proactive not reactive when it comes to regaining, improving, or maintaining your health and vitality.

Dazzling Dolls Pom Squad

Our mission is to inspire and empower girls to reach their greatest potential through sisterhood and the creative outlet of dance. Our dance company offers a safe place to grow mentally and physically—gaining confidence, poise, self-worth, pride, self-discipline, leadership skills and respect for themselves and others.

Fitness Room

Hot Hula

Got Hula? If not just remember you’re never too old to learn something new! Try Hot Hula fitness. Hot Hula is a fitness program that incorporates hula style dance and music while burning calories!

Senior Card Club

Come out to meet other seniors in the area, socialize, and enjoy some card playing. We will be offering various card games to include spades, pinochle, and much more! We will also be playing tournaments.

Come out and join other seniors in the craft of the month. If you enjoy fellowship, creative thinking and working with your hands then this is the place for you.

Senior Geek Squad

Partnering with the library we are able to provide a technology class for our seniors. They will go over typical issues that affect seniors. Spots are limited. Pre-registration is required.

Spanish Tutor

Having trouble with your Spanish class? Want a refresher? Come hang out with our Spanish Tutor and learn more of this amazing language.

Tang Soo Do Karate

Tang Soo Do enhances your awareness and well-being. The combat academy of Tang Soo Do offers Kata and Forms, Board Breaking, and tournaments. These family oriented classes teach self-defense, weight loss, muscle toning, physical fitness and self-discipline. Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced students train together.

Zumba

This Zumba is a Latin style aerobics class that is exhilarating, effective, easy to follow and calorie burning.  Great for both beginners and advanced.

Zumba Gold

This Zumba class is designed especially for both beginners as well as advanced students! Zumba is a fun, low impact work-out that achieves great results! This class is geared for seniors but all are welcome.

Hula/Tahitian Dance

 You’re never too old to learn something new! Try hula dance while learning about traditional Hawaiian culture. Classes are for both beginning and advanced students, and are fun for the whole family! This class is great for moms and daughters. Performances held throughout the year at various community events.

Intercession Camps

Camps based around the year-round school schedule that feature games, crafts, sports and more. This program is designed for children who are currently enrolled in kindergarten through age 12. Campers should bring a nonperishable lunch and two snacks to camp each day.

Workday Camps

Girl Scouts

Are you interested in joining the girl scouts but don’t know where to start? Join one of our troops that meet here and build character and skills while having fun! What’s that smell? Have you thought that and then realized it was your daughter! All kids get to that stage. Drop her off with us and let the ladies from the Health Department teach them ways to stay fresh and clean and the importance of cleanliness is to their health. Pre-Registration required

Indoor Yard Sale Bazaar

This indoor yard sale will take place in our gym and is hosted by our “Seniors on the move” club. Their fall yard sale had 30 vendors and had about 300 people come out to show their support. If you would like to be a seller please contact the E. E. Miller Recreation Center.

Cliffdale & EE Miller Eggs-Travaganza

Come on out for an egg-tastic time with your friends at Cliffdale and EE Miller Recreation Centers! There will be games, food vendors, a bounce house, balloon animals, crafts, music and more! Don’t forget to bring your basket for the egg hunt. This event will be hosted at Cliffdale Recreation Center and is absolutely free!

Adventure Kids: Lake Rim Canoeing and Nature Adventure

Join EEM staff and an experienced park ranger to learn the basics of canoeing in a friendly environment. After, we will do a nature scavenger hunt and walk. Please bring a snack, and water. Parents are advised to put sun screen on your and dress for the outdoors. Drop off and pick up will be at the main office at Lake Rim Park. We will be busing the kids over to the lake for kayaking. Pre-registration required.

Building Self Esteem

 In this day in time self- esteem for kids is very important. The ladies from the health department are going to teach your children how to cope with issues that could affect their self-esteem, in a fun cool way. Pre-registration required.

A Stormwater Educator will give students a presentation on stormwater and how pollution affects the environment. A hands-on activity will be provided that will describe the relationship between humans and their effect on water. Pre-Registration required
